is a message from Nicole Kapsar, president of the Support
the Troops campaign at Hiram College (Hiram,
OH - USA):
Hi
everyone, I am the President of the Support The
Troops Campaign. I just wanted to let you know that I sent
out the
first care package to a USMC platoon about a month ago, and they were
very
grateful.
Excerpts
from four letters that were sent back thanking us:
1. Gunny
Sgt Dennison
says: "The boys just got back from that Operation where we were
fighting
on the news. We needed a pick me up after that. They are
all doing
ok and are still motivated. Thank you so much for everything."
2. Lance
Corporal Smith:
"I just wanted to thank you for all your support. The care
package
sent will be put to good use. It's good to know that we still have
people in
this world that actually care. The other Marines and I, really do
appreciate you and your fellow classmates helping us out. It
really means
a lot to us."
3. Platoon
Commander
Phillips: "Your support is greatly appreciated, by all the
Marines of
Motor Transport Platoon and myself. It is the support that we
receive
from home that means the most at this time. So continue to do what
you're doing
because it is making a difference."
4. Sgt
Stone: "It
is good to know that there are still good people in this world who
support us.
Even though they might not support the war, it's nice they support us
and our
safe return."
